There are also major developers who are satisfied with Sony and don't see the problem about lack of development kits. Even though neither EA or Activision has not received the final development kit or hardware, Activision CEO Robert Kotick assures that their knowledge of the processor's capacity is enough to develop games.
Chief executive officer of SCE, Kazuo Hirai believes that the time left for the development shouldn't be too big of a problem and that the developers are starting to receive final dev kits. Sony is expecting 15 games to launch with the PS3.

Reports claim that Sony's lack of assistance in PlayStation 3 game development is threatening the quality and quantity of launch titles. The developers have divided into two, THQ and Sega represent the ones that are not satisfied with the lack of development kits. Sony PlayStation 3 will be launched in November and the development of games is growing shorter. "A lot of developers have not gotten the kits. There certainly will not be a lot of titles available," says Simon Jeffrey, president of Sega of America, he also claims that the titles that will be launched on time, won't use the full potential of console, because Sony hasn't provided the developers the Cell processors. THQ has announced that its upcoming Sopranos game will be released only on PS2 and Xbox 360 for it was too risky to do it for PS3 with the lack of information about the console.
