Comment by: spydah (Dec 17, 2007 20:55) I got one for my kids and they only play it once every couple weeks. They play their PS2 and N64 more then that. It also can attribute to the Wii not having many games out. But overall thats the scenario. I think its just a piped up game cube at best with a fancy smancy controller. I have to say i really havent played my 360 as much due to me playing my PS3. As long as the PS3 keeps making good strides and putting out good games ima be hooked. |
Comment by: vinny13 (Dec 17, 2007 21:28) LMFAO if only the 360 wasn't American... I blame Bush. |
Comment by: SProdigy (Dec 17, 2007 23:29) It's a shame more of you "haters" aren't into Mario, Zelda, and Metroid, as those are all A+ titles. As for the clones, all of you are right. And why does everyone crap on the wiimote? Games like Red Steel, for example, are really fun when aiming/shooting/reloading and other stuff. They just need a third party to make a killer app that really takes advantage of it, so then people will get off Nintendo's back! |

Comment by: tester22 (Dec 18, 2007 22:32) 360 and PS3 are awesome but you all that dog the WII have no clue and should be bi*ch slapped with an old shoe. Your arguments have no validity, points and examples have no merit and maybe you all should take a dip over to the nearest microcenter and check out the MASSIVE selection of WII games.............many of which are the same games that the other two have. I'm 34 and although I wouldn't buy either a PS3 or 360 because my custom computer blows them ALLLLLLLL away with frame rate, graphics, lighting and over-all playability, I do acknowledge that they are quite fun, but, the WII is just ................... well.................revolutionarily MORE FUN. Golf, sports, many action games just is unbeatable.

I work out 4 to 5 times a week (not including regular romps in the sack with the Mrs - much more fun than exercising with a Wii). I still don't like the Wii. My arguments are objective. I don't think the Wii is fun enough to invest time and money in. I have more fun playing FNR 3 on either the 360 or PS3 than Wii boxing. Just my opinion. Good for you if you think it's the best thing since sliced bread. I'm not going to be a critic as to how you enjoy your game time. |
Comment by: jackraa (Dec 19, 2007 01:12) They brung back fun in games HUH? To Hell with Nintendo. How did they bring fun back into games. By incorporation a motion sensor controller? Yeah that's it. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON PEOPLE PRAISE THE WII, IS BECAUSE OF THE CONTROLLER. To call a system great based on a motion sensored controller is ridiculous. FUN HUH? If you wanna do something physical go play a real sport, go play real golf, or actually take your family out for bowling night. This system is purely a sales gimmick that America is eating up. The last great system Nintendo made was N64. They went downhill after that. As far as the person who said Next-Gen Consoles have the same old games, I dont know about you but I'm getting tired of Nintendo justifying making a new Mario and Zelda game for every new System they make. Just same old Mario and Zelda every time, just this time you can actually play the game with a Motion Sensored Controller.........OOOHHHH who gives a Sh*T. Motion Sensored Controller and Price--only driving factor. As far as the graphics comment. Have you seen the Wii's Graphics yeah they suck. Why would I want to buy that? Of course I want Eye-Popping Graphics. I bought an HDTV to have HD, why would I want to go backwards? No depth to games...Have you ever heard of Xbox Live? What depth do you want? Online play is what is Mainstream Now wake up. You people who are praising this piece of Sh*T System need to Wake Up. |
Comment by: jackraa (Dec 19, 2007 01:19) So by having a 360 I'm automatically a Lazy Old Man? So the Wii is geared towards family huh? Wrong! its actually targeted towards Young Children, Yes I have played the Wii, Neighbor has one. All I can say is its just sad. People who are buying it are paying for a bare-bones minimum system. To the person who said "Content over Quality" again have you ever played an Xbox 360? |

Comment by: tester22 (Dec 19, 2007 15:03) Highly doubt that you or your arse is 'smokin hot'. But then again, fatties are often over-confident about themselves (GOD know how that is) and overly aggressive to everyone else.

Comment by: tester22 (Dec 19, 2007 18:40) The average user's credibility has expired. Particularly for statements like this.........."I just want something new". It doesn't get any "newer" and more innovative than the WII. I LOVE 360, more so than PS3. All I'm saying is that most of those that comment on this site.......and frankly most of those just walking around this planet, myself excluded, should never be in charge of the big red button that decides the fate of us all. Happy Holidays to all!! |
Comment by: ZippyDSM (Dec 19, 2007 20:49) Originally posted by tester22: So you are saying that if tis not soemthign you like and is different then tis not new and popular.... so I will discount whatever you like "because" :P

Comment by: borhan9 (Dec 24, 2007 23:43) Well it looks like in comparison Nintendo is still way ahead in the console battles. Microsoft and Sony have a lot of work and ground to make up. |
Comment by: emugamer (Dec 26, 2007 17:03) Originally posted by tester22: I guess I should expound on what I personally mean by "I want something new." After 5 years of the Gamecube and being a fan of Nintendo since the beginning, I was looking for more open-ended type games with free-roam environments. I've always been a Mario fan. But I'm not interested in playing Mario games of yester-year. Same with Zelda. I want to see Link, as well as the characters of the Mushroom kingdom gradually become more realistic looking. I want the same kind of excitement I had as a kid when Mario went from 8-bit to 16-bit, and then true 3D with the N64. I wanted to see Metroid take on more of a Gears of War look and feel (minus the blood and swearing). Instead, I got a wireless magic wand and the same games of last generation Nintendo. For me, it was like getting a toy in a cereal box. How many fans do you think Nintendo would have kept if they didn't make the jump from 8-bit to 16-bit with Sega. (I realize that this gaming generation is a little more complicated than that).

Comment by: emugamer (Dec 26, 2007 18:33) Quote:Quote:Originally posted by tester22: I want a realism acceptable for it's genre, without a sacrifice in game depth. I don't play games just because they look good. And innovation is great. But a new controller will not make me want to buy a new system. I want to see the next level of graphics and depth Nintendo can bring to the table. The Wii-mote is not enough to satisfy my apetite for "something new." |
