Wii Play features 9 mini-games, each of which help you to learn to use the Wii Remote. The games include Table Tennis, Laser Hockey, Fishing, Find Mii, Pose Mii, Shooting, Billiards, Charge!, and Tanks! You can play all the games against an AI opponent or against another player, and none of the games require nunchuk. The games must be first completed in a certain order, completing one unlocks another. The game awards bronze, silver, and gold medals for successful perfomances, much like Wii Sports.

Wii Play is a fun addition to Wii Sports, the lifespan of this game however is shorter. The games aren't too challenging in single-player, and after less than 5 hours you'll be good enough to be awarded with gold medals from each of the games. Even though it doesn't offer much challenge, it is a good "Wiimote" practice and the fact that it costs the same as an average Wii game it comes bundled with an additional Wii Remote (otherwise $40), which gets you into fun party action with two players.
