it seems that no one knows what CPU will really be in the Elites the 65nm is delayed by a quarter(3-4 months) and the Elite will be out by summer so this means its either in them or wont in the 360 till fall ><

New chipset? After this Elite? I thought we were trying to stay away from wacky 'PC' upgrade issues.

Maybe they should have made it modular; so you could replace the CPU and HD. With MS braded items of course, but just as you guys feel stiffed for taking the 1st gen box, I don't want to feel stiffed getting the Elite, when there is yet another one on the horizon after that.

the PS2 has 16 revivsions counting the USB changes and the slim line,becuse it was done in silence there was not a huge uproar over it the PS2 did have allot of lens issues even the slim line had them.

the 360 is a case of the factory making shoty hardware they should ahve recalled it from the start but by brining in the fickle systems and repairing them and useing them to repair others its not helped things much...

The elite might have the 64nm CPU if it dose it would be worth every penny because it wont have the hardware issues thats been plaguing the 360,if it dosent it will have a higher chance to fry from heat...we will know in acouple months what it will have.

We were promised last summer an upgrade to the smaller die size cpu, reasons given.. less heat dissipation leading to improved cooling. A plus along the way is a slight performance boost due to reduced transfer times internally in the cpu.
To tell the truth I thought on first hearing that this was it. The serious reliability and performance upgrade we were promised.. but it seems not. The black case is cool.. fair enough, but they only cost $25 in any colour you can think of. The large HDD.. again fair do's but none of this justifies the higher price tag. The price for a larger HDD is extortionate when you consider it is only a standard laptop device in a pretty shell (you can upgrade them too..yourself.. see link later)
All in all, rather disappointing, especially as I had the news of this "supposed" upgrade in july/august last year from the console division of M$ themselves.. Seems like they have hit troubles with the new cpu and are sticking to a release schedule even without the promised hardware to back it up..

can you please tell me what files are non transferable to a USB drive on the Xbox/360 I read somethings and gotten confused.

because some files are DRM'd you cant simply put them on a detachable drive.

Bobby, I've looked into every single report of yours that I dealt with. Just because something gets reported doesn't mean us mods will automatically agree with it and do what the reporter thinks ought to be done. Sometimes we think differently and choose to do nothing. I couldn't begin to count the amount of reports we've had against you that had merit to some degree or another that I ultimately decided to pass on because most situations weren't black and white. However, over the months you and your Blu-ray jihad been consistently at the center of more ugly disagreements and garnered more reports than any other regular in those forums. The community as a whole is frustrated and angry and since I work for not any one individual but the community as a whole I banned you.

You also some some gall to claim no mod ever supported you, especially me. I recall some pm's from you when you got ganged up on where I definitely took your side. Want me to post them to refresh your memory? I remember telling you to stay out of any disagreements and refrain from making any personal remarks and I'd put the hammer down on anyone that attacked you. Add that to your big picture my friend.

before the PS3 launch I liked the PS3 and thought it would do well,but the reality of it has made me very cautious and hard on sony,I gave MS a break for the past couple of months because the line up has made the hardware issues "worth while" if MS has not gone out of their way to put the 65nm CPU into the elite then they are playing games with gamers and I dislike it as much as Sonys like games they play.
