Thats why I am glad Nintendo went to Standard SD Cards for memory and storage. Got a 2GB one for $14.99 for my game saves and virtual console games.

.......I can see they want to stop "pricey" but all it will take is someone to hack the frimware or make a device to fool the 360 into dumping data onto it....

Still not worth it. 512MB memory unit: $50 VS 20GB(13 usable GB)HDD $100. If they wan't my money, MS should begin talking about a 120GB HDD. And still, I can manage just fine with the current unit.

I don't think this is instead of a new and much bigger HDD - I think this is really intended to be most useful to 'core' system users.

AFAIK the 120/150/200gb (who knows exactly what it'll be?) HDD is still coming soon - probably when they lauch the all-in-one 'media' black XBox 360 (which is said to have the 65nm cooler and more efficient chip, the quiet DVD drive, an HDMI socket and the big HDD).

BTW & just out of interest how does this compare in price and spec with the PS3 offerings?

....forget that, I've just looked.
You need an adaptor if you're using PS2 saved data and a PS2 card and the rest is Sony memory sticks, which are indeed a little cheaper but not exactly loads.

I'll buy xbox 360 when i see 5TB.

Good luck with that. The ToC alone would kill seek times, even on next gen systems.

I'll buy a 360 when it a 120GB HD new CPU/mobo and maybe HDMI :P
