Siggy @ Nov 16, 2006 04:52

The most innovative video game system yet, Wii, launches in United States in three days with 20 games including the bundled Wii Sports, which is a collection of five sports games. Another 13 games have been scheduled before the end of the year, offering pretty impressive first wave.

In November 19th Nintendo Wii hits the retailers in US with 17 third-party games from such major publishers as Activision, EA, Atari, Midway, and more, and three of Nintendo's own - Wii Sports, Excite Truck and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The third-party titles include Call of Duty 3, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, Madden NFL '07, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Cars, SpongeBob SquarePants, and many more. There will also be 30 Virtual Console classic games available for download.

Nintendo is shipping 4 million Wii systems globally by the end of the year, but the demand will be huge, so if you want one as a christmas present you won't be alone. The console ships with one Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, an AC adapter, a Wii AV cable, a sensor bar and Wii Sports, and will have the MSRP of $249.99.
