UFO: Afterlight sets on Mars, where a human colony has been established not long after the events of UFO: Aftershock. Even though the colony has knowledge and technology to futher development the main concern is to get air, water, food. Their only activity is to research nearby excavation site, which proves the existence of an ancient and extremely intelligent alien race. The research proves to become a real threat and the colony has to defend and fight the enemies, or be annihilated.
UFO: Aftelight combines strategic gameplay with tactical missions and RPG elements such complex training system, special equipment and more. The game faetures a host of new technologies, weapons and equipment to develop, new aliens with diverse technologies and battle tactics, and new environments from a different planet.
