Comment by: pigfister (Feb 13, 2007 13:56) so are sony doing this because they are forcing euro customers to purchase the 60 gig hd ver of their game machine or the fact the there is price hike in comparison to Asian or American outlets? woo hoo arnt they fantastic a free movie lets all rush out now to pre order our ps3 to get a copy of a crappy movie stuffed with drm's. i think i'll w8 for the blue ray ver to appear on a torrent site and get a decent pc that can be upgraded instead of wasting my money on this piece of junk. the only ppl that will be fooled are the media educed, frenzied, hyped moron, the same ppl that purchased vista on the first day of release so microsoft can just use them as beta testers for the service pack that is due later this year! corporate f*%ks burn in hell. |

Comment by: squidge37 (Feb 13, 2007 15:21) The terminology here is interesting. This is the first time I've seen someone say "a (movie title) (blue ray disc)." Of course you would say "Casino Royale DVD" but would you really say "Casino Royale Blu-Ray"? Or would you say "Casino Royale Blu-ray disc?"

Comment by: JaguarGod (Feb 14, 2007 00:25) Is Playstation Network the thing where you play games online?? If so, I better be getting a copy of casino Royale, cause I had one of the first systems out there and I signed up for that online play a while back to play some rentals.

Comment by: joe777 (Feb 14, 2007 12:13) I am not a gamer at all BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! James bond is now driving a FORD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh is bond going downhill, did sony get this for free from hollywood, cause in my eyes it was a flop of all flops. Ah mean come-on wheres the Aston Martin, a ford!!!!!!!!!!!Oh No. |

Comment by: sammorris (Feb 15, 2007 20:30) Actually the Aston Martin is technically a ford as well. As are range rovers and jaguars. It's product placement, so bond ends up in a Mondeo. Fantastic. Did you also note the cursory glance you got of the DB5 and the 22 second car chase in the Aston? Grr... |

Comment by: sammorris (Feb 16, 2007 09:21) Well to be fair Bond's been in all kinds of crap throughout the years, but that's usually a make-do-with-what-you-can-find scenario, not what he's actually given from MI6. (remember the renault that got sawn in half in View to a Kill?) |
Comment by: Coolayton (Feb 16, 2007 15:52) Does anybody know how they will go about notifying people that they are to recieve this movie? I bought my PS3 early enough that I may have been in the first 500,000 but I have no way to be sure... is there a way I can tell? Thanks! |

Comment by: sammorris (Feb 16, 2007 19:34) Actually I disagree there, I think Daniel Craig makes quite a good bond. I was a bit unnerved first of all but I think he played the part well. Comment by: jake180 (Feb 16, 2007 21:38) Can Anyone answer the most on-topic question I have seen ... which is ... Is there any concrete way of knowing whether you are in the first 500,000 people registered on the PS3 network? It would be nice to know if there is a free copy of a movie on the way before it is purchased.

Comment by: jake180 (Feb 18, 2007 05:36) Maybe I am wrong in assuming this ... but they are talking specifically about the PS3 launch in Europe correct... so it's kind of like, be in the first 500,000 after the Europe launch date to register.... or do they mean ALL of the first 500,000 registrants will receive a copy of the movie including the people in the US and CANADA who already own the PS3 with a copy of Ricky Bobby:Taladega nights ?? |

Comment by: pigfister (Feb 19, 2007 07:08) yes it is for euro residents as sony are trying to encourage sales after they threatened legal action and the threat of withdrawing retailers rights to sell sony products if any ps3 were imported from either the US or Asia and that Euro customers are only being offered the more expensive 60gb machine at a higher mark up price than is offered in the rest of the world. courporate f%*ks burn in hell! |
Comment by: SupraSPL (Feb 21, 2007 05:23) "Blu-Ray disc" is a mouthful compared to DVD or CD but I have heard Blu-ray discs referred to as BD and BD-r |
