Xbox 2 to be announced in May?

cd-rw.org @ Feb 02, 2005 11:58 | 7 comments

The next generation Xbox console, also known with a code name Xenon, is now expected to be previewed in May 2005. It was speculated earlier that the first preview would be held at Game Developers Conference in March, but a Microsoft spokeswoman has confirmed that this is not the case. Therefore the it is now expected that Xenon will be unveiled at the E3 expo in May, which takes place in Los Angeles.

The next Xbox console is expected to go on sale at the end of the year, but very few details about it have been released.

It is thought that the machine may be unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, which takes place in May, according to a Reuters news agency report.

...

Gamers are looking forward to the next generation of machines because they will have much more processing and graphical power.

They are also likely to pack in more features and technologies that make them more central as entertainment and communications hubs.

Although details of PlayStation 3, Xenon, and Nintendo's so-called Revolution, are yet to be finalised, developers are already working on titles.

There are ways of getting into E3 by working around the system (as long as you're 18). Just start a "video game news website company" with a couple buddies, call it something like and get some sort of business card or company credit card. That usually is enough to get you into E3, and shouldn't cost you much. If I didn't live so far away from Cali, I would do exactly that.

Besides, what's the worst they can do? All they can do is say, "Sorry, you can't come in." Big deal.

Actually it's more like:

"Sorry, you can't come in."

"I'll show you a bit of green!"

"I have enough, they pay me a lot for guarding the backdoor entrance."

"Fine, I'll give you some sucky sucky."

"NOW THAT I DON'T GET OFTEN!!! HIT IT BOY!"

*5 minutes later*

"Sorry, you can't come in."

On a more serious note, I can't go because I'm not 18 and I live in Canada. It's going to cost me a lot to travel to E3. When I turn 20, me and a couple of my gamer friends might be going... imagine the technology then! n_n That is if the asteroid doesn't blow us to bits.

Everyone is entitled to their own true opinion. Either respect that or don't.
