Biggest Xbox 360 game of the year in major, and very early leak.

A development copy of Epic's Gears of War 3 has leaked onto the Internet and is available on torrent sites, file lockers and Usenet. The copy is a raw dump that can only be played on a modified Xbox 360 console that has undergone a JTAG hack.

Gears of War 3 is the conclusion to one of the most memorable series in the current video game generation. It is due to be released on September 20, in about 11 weeks time from now.

The leak will undoubtedly anger Epic because of the time between now and the release, and as the game is reportedly unfinished in parts. However, since it can only be played on JTAG-hacked Xbox 360 consoles, that really cuts down the number of people who will be able to pirate and play it.

The 7.5GB dump is in English and was posted to an Xbox 360 group on Usenet yesterday.

"This is a developer copy (Not completly final) of the game with achievements, Single Player/Coop Campaign and System Link Multiplayer (See you online on XLink Kai ^^).
Some missions at the end of the campaign seam to be missing - so decide for yourself if you want to wait for the retail or not!"

This really won't hurt Microsoft to much because its only usable on jtagged consoles and theres not enough of those to do much damage. Still don't understand why people would want to get a developer leak of the game anyway.

Jtaggerzz makes up prob < .0001 % and they weren't gonna buy the game anywayzzz

The only thing this leak hurts is all the Gear fanboyzzz will be at a dis advantage @ launch if they happen to be in a match against someone that has been practicing on a jtag. Now if they would have said one of the biggest games of the year I'd agree but out selling COD lmao Oh well, can't wait for battlefield 3!!!!!

I am really looking forward to this game. I hope the online play isn't spoiled by people who have been playing for 2 months already due to early leaks.

Most that will download are just curious to see what the game looks like. The game is also incomplete so in order to beat the game they will have to buy I mean download the official release when it comes out. Jtagers can not play on Xbox Live as soon as they connect the Xbox will tell live it has been modified and it will be blocked. I am not sure if flashed drives can play this, but again if Microsoft can see you playing an unreleased game online they know has been leaked you will be banned.

Oh my we have a COD fanboy here. Common sense would tell anyone a multiplatform game will outsell a single console game. Just genius.

The point is no one said it would be the biggest selling game of the year. Then u say "If it had said one of the biggest." Well I'm sure it will be one of the biggest sellers. Do u not think so? And by he way COD had nothing to do with the article. So why bring it up. Do u not read the title on the article? No lunch needed. U will be dining alone again. Lol
