The company said recently that there are just over 25 million Xbox Live users so that means every Xbox Live gamer is spending an average of 40 hours per month playing games or streaming movies on their consoles.
Microsoft added that they have seen a 157 percent increase in the last year in the amount of time users are spending watching movies and TV shows via Netflix or other services.
12 million XBL users are watching at least 30 minutes of content every day.
Adding to the numbers is Microsoft's expansion of the service, with the number of countries offering access now standing at 35. |

Comment by: Hopium (Oct 30, 2010 19:01) recently with the lack of good games i would say my time would be 85/15 streaming/gameplay on xbox live. when i build a new pc im gonna make this box a media center a smack home consoles out of my setup. games are just way better on the pc the vast customization is just to hard to stay away, play oblivion on a xbox then do it on a pc with a mod manager and you like wow i wasted alot of time on the xbox when i could have so much more fun with the pc :[ |

Comment by: Sophocles (Oct 30, 2010 21:31) Hmm! Let's see, now if 1,000,000,000 hours per month were calculated in years, how many years would that be. So 1,000,000,000 hours divided by 24 would equal about 41666667 days and that divided by 365 days for a year equals 114,552 years. Sounds reasonable.:D |
