Sonic Team has decided to combine the familiar Sonic characters and a fast-paced and addictive racing game and succeeds in creating a new modern racing game which has influences from snowboarding and surfing. The game has unique turbulence system, which allows players to drift from their opponents to gain more speed.
All the characters have their own special abilities in Speed, Flight or Power. During competition against computer or live opponents you will be able to collect points by doing wild tricks with the air board. These points and collected rings can be used to buy items from over 40 types of gear upgrades.
The game has a story mode and multiplayer modes among several other modes.
