The Harvest Goddess has turned to stone and you must help the Harvest Sprites to get the Goddess back. You have to collect Musical Notes in order to free the Goddess from the curse. These Notes can be collected by doing various tasks throughout the game. There is a total of 100 Musical Notes in the game. The activities you have to perform include shipping items, winning festivals and making friends among the wild animals.
The game can be played as a boy or a girl, both having 10 potential spouses. You can cultivate various trees and crops in order to win your rival farmer in productivity as well as in festivals. The Magical Melody features also "mini-games" in which 4 players can participate.
