by 2012? so does that mean that Nintendo expects to go 6 years before releasing another console? sounds unlikely because of how weak the Wii's hardware is.

Note: ^ when they feel necessary is extremely open ended, they could therefore create a new console whenever, even within this 6 year period, and even if they do, it will not affect the statement made of the predicted 35 million console sales. Think of the current PS2 still selling despite the PS3 being released.

I'm sure that's possible. Because wii is just fun. It might not have great grahpic like 360 or ps3. But they have good title and they'll support it as long as they can.

I would rather pay $250 system that i can have fun with and last more than 5-7 years rather than pay $400 for xbox 360 and not get any game support from the company.

All three companies have told thet the life cycle of current generation of consoles will be longer than it´s last ones so yes he actually may be right about this,i have one and am looking for two more but haven´t got the luck to find them.

I dunno the 360 is a waffling at best it can not last a full 5 years with the PS3,frankly I would not want the WII to last longer than 3 or 4 years I'd rather have Nin bring out its upgraded big brother,as long as sony dose not stub more devs the PS3 is solid enough to run for 5-8 years easy.

I just find it funny how Nintendo used to be down in the gutter as far as competing with M$ and Sony; but now they've come back and are pwning their asses with non next gen technology =P

Pretty graphics cant make up for redundant or crappy game play. That is why the Wii has almost caught up to the 360 in sales already and is why the PS3 is having trouble with its sales. The Wii is cheap, easy to get used to, and has a fun factor that the other companies haven't been able to figure out yet with their systems.

people here always make it out as if Game Cube was a failure when in reality, GCN sold 21.59 million units, while Xbox sold 24 million units, so xbox really didn't sell that many more than game cube

cant believe people will still be playing games with crappy graphics by 2012, i think wii's success is gonna eventually be over when ps3 and 360 catch up with their system's full potential, im not a pathetic fanboy of any console im just realistic

I'd hate to see what diableria would consider non crappy graphics. Unless you have an HDTV there isn't that big of a difference in the systems graphical quality to me.

WII is what he is referring to or prehaps PC games from 5 years ago.

In any case if MS keeps "upgrading" the 360 it could walk the line well with the PS3 but I dunno..I'd rather have them get it over with and make a "complete" Xbox 2.

i dont think the wii is a bad console just not that great.and what is with people saying that the ps3 or 360 has no fun factor to them i love my 360 and have lots of fun playing the hell out of it and thmy ps3 just need more games and it will be fun also.the wii is more for my kids than anyone eles.iam not saying the wii is a kiddie console but it lacks that grown up appeal of the 360 and the ps3.almost forgot the wii kicks ass at parties.

the WII has enough solid titles coming out for it to over look the kidde factor the 360 and even PS3 seem to be awashed in shallowly mature titles, all in all the consoles fall into their own niche and can survive off it..


enjoy it while you can before you become a zippy always wondering always thinking never stopping to enjoy the roses..think of the squrile from ice age and over the hedge only this squrle is looking for gaming/film gems instead of nuts :P

i just dont think wii's games compete with 360, pc, or ps3 games.. theres a colossal difference , not only because of the graphics but also cause of the way games are made, with all the intelligence, the technology used. Swinging a remote control up and down controlling a square on screen def is at a totally different level... i know wii is selling pretty good but will that last forever?

I wouldn't say that Nin trounced the PSP power canonly sway so much,the 360 has a solid enough base to do well but once nin gets rolling full steam I think nin will stay on top or be eaqul with the 360,while the PS3 regains its honor.

the WII is tops for the next 2-4 years shareing soem of lime light with the 360 and the PS3 will be 3rd until it lowers its price even then shallow gamepaly/interface will hurt it and the 360 the most..
